Since 1953, UCP Heartland has been providing the services your family needs to stay together. Our respite services are available for adults of all ability levels to enjoy and use as needed. We offer private pay options, as well as funding for eligible families through the following:

We handle respite visits from a few hours to several days, depending on you and your loved one’s needs. Visits can be scheduled in advance while we also accommodate emergency stays.

Program Goals

At UCP Heartland, the goal of our Respite Care program is to provide a break for caregivers while providing the same level of care and attention your loved one receives at home.

Program Highlights

Oak Tree Respite is a beautiful home centrally located in Webster Groves boasting four large bedroom suites, a large, updated kitchen, 2 comfy living room spaces, and a private secured backyard for lots of fresh air. It’s the ideal place for your loved one to socialize and engage in activities while experiencing individualized, compassionate, extraordinary care from our highly trained staff.

Our respite program includes:

  • 24-hour care
  • Assistance in finding the best funding source
  • A staffing ratio of 1:4
  • Personal care assistance
  • RN oversight
  • Medication administration
  • 3 nutritious meals daily plus delicious snacks
  • Games and activities based on your loved one’s individual interests
  • Time to relax and unwind
  • Community engagement

Short-Term Respite

We provide scheduled, short-term care when you need it for your loved one.

Emergency Respite

We provide emergency 24-hour care in your absence.
