UCP Heartland’s Adult Day Services provide safe, structured, and meaningful daytime support for adults living with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs).
Our programs focus on helping adults learn new skills, engage socially, participate in the community, and progress toward greater independence, while giving peace of mind for families and caregivers.

How Our Program Works
Every participant’s journey at UCP Heartland begins with understanding who they are , their interests, abilities, and goals. From there, we build a day program experience that’s truly theirs.

Personalized Assessment & Goal Setting
Before a participant begins, we conduct a thorough assessment to understand their strengths, interests, and areas for growth. Together with the individual and their family, we create a personalized plan with meaningful, achievable goals.

Structured Daily Programming
Each day is thoughtfully designed to balance skill-building, social engagement, and fun. Participants have a voice in their daily activities , from life skills training and vocational tasks to creative arts, outings, and wellness activities.

Family & Caregiver Partnership
We keep families and caregivers actively involved at every stage. Through regular updates, care team meetings, and open communication, we ensure that the support provided at our centers extends seamlessly into the home environment.
