April 2024
Dear Friends of UCP Heartland,
April 2024
Dear Friends of UCP Heartland,
As we wind down the month of April, UCP Heartland, along with providers around the globe, celebrate the unique talents, continue to raise awareness, and promote understanding of individuals on the Autism spectrum. Today, 1 in 34 children are diagnosed with Autism and over the past 2 years, UCP Heartland has expanded our services to include Autism Therapy focused on Applied Behavior Analysis. We currently have locations in Columbia and St. Louis, making positive impact to over 70 children in East and Central Missouri. We are excited about the continued growth of this much needed service and are honored to be one of the few providers who accept Medicaid as their primary payor for therapy.
Autism Awareness Month has a theme of “Light it up Blue.” Why does UCP Heartland light it up blue? We believe it is a priority to continue to provide education and advocacy, along with the services we provide to individuals and families. Thank you to the communities, families, and referring agencies that entrust UCP Heartland to provide extraordinary services to individuals living with Autism.
Columbia Wing Ding
On April 16th, UCP Heartland, in partnership with Logboat Brewing Company in Columbia, Missouri, hosted the 2024 Columbia Wing Ding. Over 300 people were in attendance, over $30k was raised to support UCP Heartland’s Columbia Autism Therapy Clinic and Child Development Center, and an overall incredible evening was had celebrating the work happening in central Missouri. Thank you to Tums and all the other wonderful sponsors, our 30 celebrity judges, 8 participating restaurants, over 50 volunteers, and finally the community members that made this event such a huge success. UCP Heartland is grateful!!
New St. Louis South Location
IT IS FINALLY HAPPENING! After lots of frustration, new building owners, and a never give up attitude…the UCP Heartland Community Services South location is almost complete and ready to go. It is located at 9246 Watson Road. After we get all settled in over the next few weeks, we will announce an open house – we cannot wait to show it off. Thank you to everyone who showed a bit of patience throughout this daunting (never want to experience again 😊😊) process. We are so looking forward to providing services in this area.
